Helping the treatment of crohn’s means knowing the things that not only help inflammation, such as my serrapeptase testimonial, but knowing what your body needs to function at its highest peaks.

Lets be honest, it’s easier to except things at face value is easier than a finding the truth. And the truth is, our bodies are lacking somewhere.

And when our bodies lack certain things for long periods of time, they tend to crash and burn.

In all actuality, it’s time that we explore the world of vital vitamins. Instead of waiting on new medicine for crohn’s.

That vitamin is a well-known vitamin that everyone needs to thrive, and that it is Vitamin D3.

How Vitamin D3 Helps the Treatment of Crohn’s

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that has the properties of both a hormone and vitamin. This vitamin is required for the absorption and utilization of phosphorous and calcium.

It is a necessary component for growth, as well as the health of bones and teeth. Vitamin D3 is also important when it comes to the regulation of your heartbeat, as well as muscle weakness.

Vitamin D3 serves an important role in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer, osteoporosis, colon cancer, as well as hypocalcemia. Without a healthy level of Vitamin D3, the function of your thyroid may suffer, and you will experience abnormal blood clotting.

The 3 Forms of Vitamin D
There are several forms of vitamin D, including D2, which comes from certain food sources. Vitamin D3 which is synthesized in the skin through sun exposure. And vitamin D5, which is a synthetic form of vitamin d.

Out of the three, Vitamin D3 is the most natural form of vitamin D and was thought to be the most active. Newer data shows that D2 is as effective as D3 in maintaining the levels of Vitamin D in the blood stream.

When you take Vitamin D, it is not readily available. To effectively active vitamin D, your liver and kidneys must convert it properly. People with liver and kidney disorders are more susceptible to osteoporosis When or skin is exposed to the sun, a cholesterol compound in the skin is transformed into a precursor of vitamin D.

It’s highly important that we expose our skin and face to the sun for at least 15 minutes per day to get the adequate amount of Vitamin D3. Studies have shown that less than 40 percent of people have the adequate amount of Vitamin D in their blood.

Having lack of Vitamin D in your blood has been linked to many different diseases such as crohn’s disease. The reasoning is still unknown why or how crohn’s disease is connected. But because Vitamin D3 places an important role with inflammation, there must be some sort of connection.

Why Sports Research Vitamin is a Great Place to Start

Lets talk about the pros and cons of using Sports Research Vitamin D3 with Coconut oil for the treatment of Crohn’s disease.

Ultimately, I have tried hundreds of different products when it comes to the treatment of crohn’s.

While some of them work, some of them don’t. I hate that I have to implement the unknown into his diet, but if we are going to find what works, we have to do what we have to do.

I purchased this vitamin D3 product because  my son developed crohn’s disease and was suffering from cramps, and huge bouts of mucus release. He currently has an ileostomy, as well as a colostomy.

So,instead of having a normal bowel movement, whenever he has a huge flare up, he is running to the toilet releasing large amount of mucus from his rectum, which sometimes consist of blood.

He has gone through the cycle of Humira and Remicade, and for a while it worked. Eventually his body kept killing it off because it was a foreign substance that his body didn’t recognize.

In my mind that meant that it wasn’t meant for him to use. So, it was time to start finding new natural ways to treat his crohn’s disease.

Pros of Using Sports Research Vitamin D3 with Coconut Oil

First of all Sports Research is a highly quality product that I was more than willing to try. My son was in pain, and was losing blood in turn making him anemic.

After dealing with his crohn’s for so long I knew that using natural treatments for his crohn’s was going to take sometime. So, I wanted to use a product that had the potential deliver good results

The price  was cost effective. Although the bottle was under $20, I was used to buying vitamins that were much cheaper. With the pricey tag attached, I expected good results.

The price tag came along with real effectiveness. After using Sports Research for about 2 weeks, his cramping lessened, and his flare ups were less frequent.

He started to feel a little more energized after taking it for a month, and his inflammation markers actually went down from 136 to 70.

The one thing that I appreciated about this product the most was that it consisted of coconut oil. Coconut oil has become an important staple in my house because it fights inflammation in the digestive system. So to have it within my vitamin D was a plus.

Although Sports Research vitamin D3 is a softgel, I was still able to remove the liquid from the capsules. The thing about taking pills with an inflamed digestive system is that it doesn’t work well.

Your intestines are already having a hard time taking in nutrients, which is why most people with crohn’s lose weight. So it’s important that we try to aim less for pills and more for a liquid form.

Cons of Using Sports Research Vitamin D3 with Coconut Oil

There were a few things that I don’t like about using this product, but it’s not bad enough for me to stop giving it to my son.

If you are allergic to lanolin then you might want to stay away from this product. It has a strong odor, which I assume is just part of the makeup. I’ve never had a vitamin d supplement that had a smell but it is what it is.

Another thing that I didn’t like was that it wasn’t vegan. I’m trying to push my family towards things that are vegan, especially when it comes to my pills. But until I find a product that is vegan, I plan to stay with the Sports Research Product because it has helped to calm my son’s inflamed intestines. That was the goal. And although I still have a long way to go, it’s a start.
